
Vicki Schnoor, LCCA
owner/instructor
Vicki began dancing with Johnny Cavelle at the age of four and is a graduate of the Johnny Cavelle Dance Studios. She was an assistant teacher as a high school student and has been teaching in the Watertown community since 1985. She continued her dance education at Presentation College in their dance teacher program and studied business concurrently at Northern State University. Vicki established Living Art Dance Studios in 2009 after the retirement of Johnny Cavelle and the ownership of the Johnny Cavelle Dance Studios changed hands.
Vicki has studied under such jazz masters as Gus Giordano, Joe Tremaine, Luigi, Matt Mattox, and Frank Hatchett. She was a demonstrator at the Chicago Nationals Dance Masters Association convention for tap/jazz master Bruce Stegmann. She has been a guest instructor at the Northern Plains Committee Cecchetti Council of America and the South Dakota Dance Network. Vicki has passed her Cecchetti Grade VI teachers exam and is a Licentiate member of the Cecchetti Council of America and a member of Dance Masters of America.
Vicki continues her education during the summer months at the Cecchetti Council of America summer convention in Michigan and the Chicago Nationals Dance Masters Association annual conventions. She also attends other statewide conventions and is a past attendee of the World Jazz Congress when it has been held in Chicago.
Vicki is the past president of the South Dakota Dance Network, Northern Plains Committee CCA, and Black Hills Committee CCA. She is the current registrar for the Black Hills Committee CCA.
