This student performance will be unlike our usual big productions. We are performing on a class by class basis with each class having their own assigned performance time. This will allow family members to safely attend the performance while staying socially distanced.
Living Art Dance Studios will be requiring all family/audience members to wear a face mask…no exceptions. If you have questions regarding this policy, talk to Miss Vicki. As there will be no professional videotaping of these performances, please feel free to videotape your own child’s performance. We intend to present each dance at least twice to allow for family members to videotape and/or watch as they see fit.
As for the student performers, we ask that their hair is off of their face and in a bun. Since our audience members will be wearing masks, we feel that this allows the opportunity for the dancers to perform without their masks if they so choose. Feel free to apply a little makeup if you wish. As this performance is not held in a brightly lit theater, heavy stage makeup is not necessary. All students should come dressed in their ballet costume. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING ALL OTHER COSTUME PIECES, ACCESSORIES, AND SHOES. For 6th and 7th grade students, we will be discussing how costume changes will happen.
As you can see, performance time slots are relatively short. We ask that when your child has finished performing to gather your belongings and exit quickly to accommodate the arrival of the next group. For health/safety reasons, we will not be providing seating. If you or any of your family members are unable to stand for the duration of the performance, we ask that you bring your own chair.
Students only have two lessons left before our performance. In order for them to feel confident, please encourage your children to practice at home. If you are in need of a video, please text or email me so I can get it forwarded to you right away.
If you have any questions, please contact me. We are excited to “showcase our stuff!” See you there!!
Miss Vicki
